We have ordered Christmas dinner for the family! Everything worked great! The food was very tasty! The transport of the food is solved without any problems with thermoboxes! No plastic packaging! Super solved! Clear recommendation!

Cleanliness great, friendly staff and a very good restaurant

I was part of a wedding party in the rented hall on the first floor. The room was nicely prepared and the conditions were very hard-working and friendly. There are parking spaces in the surrounding streets depending on your luck, for hotel guests the hotel itself also has its own small parking lot. The put together menu appealed to all guests. First of all, we were given small portions of the main course. After the first plates were emptied, the conditions with all dishes came up for reference. This is a good idea, as this means that plates that are overfilled and only half empty are not returned.

Very friendly staff. The rooms in the guest house are getting old, but clean. The restaurant was unfortunately closed (Mondays).

Good quality food and very attentive staff. Had a company team dinner here and was very happy with the overall service and quality. Unfortunately the fillet steak was on the very small side, hence the missing star. The swabian dishes some colleagues ordered looked fantastic too (and were more generously portioned). Update, three years after last visit to restaurant. COVID 19 has impacted buffets around the world, and Hohenstaufen have elegantly worked around this by having the buffet, but not letting you pick from it yourself. A staff member "takes your order" as it were and piles your plate. This does lead to eating less from a buffet than one would if doing it yourself....but again, I'd rather not catch corona, so this is fine. The room we stayed in was rather spacious and the beds were VERY comfy. Everything was clean and the hotel has a nice "Bürgerlich" Feeling...but on the fancy side ;) Disliked: There is no air-conditioning. I missed this fact when making the reservation, and, with the 35 degree summer heat, would have been a deal breaker for me. They provided and standing fan which kept us from melting completely at night, but for the price we paid, other hotels are available in the area WITH air-cons.

great relaxed hotel with charm on the edge of the city center, very friendly friendly staff, spacious clean modernized rooms, some with balcony, very comfortable bed, good breakfast buffet, free parking behind the house, fair price-performance ratio, highly recommended.

Let's start with the positive: the service staff was very accommodating and the table was nicely set. The drinks and the salad were great. There is a deduction for the rather lovelessly prepared dishes. When it comes to pikeperch with mushrooms, it should be the order of a proper restaurant not to serve mushrooms out of a can. The ox cheeks were delicious and tender, but very sinewy. In Göppingen there are better things in this price range.

No ac in this hotel. They left a little note on the desk saying 'we have no ac at this hotel, so here is some water'. They didn't even give me more water today. I guess I was supposed to make those two little bottles last 3 days. It’s 11pm and currently 86 degrees in my room. The fan they have in the room is not helping. The room they had breakfast in this morning was even hotter. Everyone was sweating. Breakfast in general was just sad. The sweaty people were sad. Even the food looked sad. The bowl of butter pats all melted together so you had to spoon it on your plate. Although they did have a big bowl of butter, so that's something. They really should not be accepting reservations if they can't provide adequate accomodations. I somehow thought tonight would be better than last night. It's not and it's too late to switch hotels, otherwise I absolutely would. So all I can do is write this review and check out tomorrow, which will be a day earlier than I planned. Other cons: - you get one very empty pillow and another crappy pillow the size of a washcloth - WiFi is terrible. I see other reviews that say it's good, but I get one bar sitting at the desk and I can get 2 if I stand by the door. I can't even stay connected to post this. - there are little spider bugs and mosquitos. The windows must be opened to avoid dying and there's no screens or anything. - no elevators. I'm in the country for a week long trip so I have a heavy bag and it was hard to bring it upstairs. I'm only on the second floor but there's a 3rd floor too. pros: -They are working hard. The staff is sweaty too so I know they can't help it. - I asked for ice and I got some. - there was a little bag of gummi bears on my pillow when I checked in. - room has a desk and enough outlets - I might call the hair dryer a pro but my hair was so drenched in sweat that it didn't really work. Neutral/Other: - if you're into little bed and breakfasts with a cute but semi-haunted house vibe, its kind've cool. But even then, don't come in the summer.

Clean. Friendly accommodating staff, good breakfast buffet, easy walking distance to the city zentrum. Private parking by the hotel. Overall a good deal for the money. Only reason I can't give a 5 star is the terrible pillow!

God service and nice staff!

according to price not that much good. Room is ok , bathroom size is too much small, also when someone is taking shower or using toilet then one can here the sound of water flowing through drainage system it's too much loaud, and last one the alram clock and radio is possioned very wrongly on the bed , if one wants to sleep quietly then sound of clock needles disturb ur sleep. Else ok

Can walk to a downtown shopping area. Rooms a clean and a decent size, but the shower is tiny. The breakfast is delicious.

The furniture and equipment is old but still very nice. Dinner was delicious, the restaurant is recommended. Breakfast was average. My bathroom was very cramped and the shower was very small.

The bed was not good. Too stiff. The pillow was the worst. It was also uncomfortably warm in my room. There's no A/C. Shower space is tight. The room is tiny. Breakfast was not bad, not really great either.

Best Hotel in Göppingen. Helpful staff with good amenities. Breakfast is delicious (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian) Make sure if you get a good Wifi coverage. Near by shops & market place are available and restaurants are at walking distance.
